What style of dress

What style of dresses do like to wear. I mean, do you like short/long/midi dresses. You may like tight or loose fitting ones, evening or summer dresses, glamorous/plain/outrageous styles. What style period do you like, i.e.  the 50,s / 60,s or more modern styles. Let us know your preferences.

Re: What style of dress

I love mini dresses especially summer outfits, but it needs to be above the knee since I have the legs to show off. I like it to be a bit loose around the stomach/ab area.
My wardrobe ranges from night, day, casual, work or being flirty. I do wear panty hose since it does accentuate the shape of my legs and to wear outfits that are sleeve less.
I love the tops or dresses that are v-shape that shows my tone upper body, but I wear nice necklaces to compliment my outfit. Now I do wear one inch heels since I am already tall so I get several different colors that goes with all of my outfits. I have to say most of my outfits have thin straps which I don't mind showing off my shoulders.
I do break the rule of wearing skirts that are 6 inches above my knee, but I am the exception since I stay in shape and my legs look great. The rule of thumb that I am mentioning is anyone over 50 yrs old should not wear skirts.

Re: What style of dress

I love to wear skirts or dresses and I'm 59. My legs aren't too bad but at 6'1" I watch my heel height, keep it under 3" and I do wear pantyhose to make my legs look better and shapelier.

Re: What style of dress

All styles as long as it is feminine looking and is appropriate to where I am going. More lace, silk the better.

I’m into the Country girl style. Nice little sundress paired with cowboy boots. As for color, I’m a blue and white kinda girl

Re: What style of dress

I see that there have already been a number of replies, but I love skirts and dresses and heels. I’m post-op and worked for 10 years in a hospital’s IT dept as head report writer. It was important to dress in a professional style and I loved it.  At work, conservative skirts and dresses just above the knee. Party dresses up higher and flirty. Almost always V-neck to show a hint of cleavage. Younger girls can get away with showing slightly more skin, but they need to be careful or they won’t be taken seriously.  Because I frequently met with middle management types, I needed to show status by wearing more expensive, classic styles with more expensive jewelry.

I’m retired now and living in a more rural area outside the big city, but I still try to wear skirts or dresses whenever I can. I know for a fact that men appreciate the look.
